Olympic games
Hi, everyone. Today I`d like to talk about sports and Olympic games. I do love sport, and I want to share my favorite kind of sport and maybe some of athletes.
Actually, most of all I like Winter Sports. They look so magnificent to me. When I was earlier I used to watch biathlon on my favourite sport channel. It was always so tense and nervous to cheer Russian sportsmen. However, the most powerful biathlon team comes from Norvegia. They won the gold medal at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.
Also, I`ve learned that volunteers` work is so important for every Olympic Games. They create very successful and very friendly Games. About 25,000 volunteers participated at the 2014 Games in Sochi. Their average age is just 23, they came from all over the country. I think it was very interesting. I`d like to be a volunteer, but I was only 11 that time. Let`s wait for more opportunities.
Of course, the most favorite, adorable, and charming sport for me is figure skating. I can`t take my eyes off the screen when strong sportsman make figure skating tricks with exquisite grace. It`s very impressive.
Russia has been always one of the strongest country in the world of figure skating. I like Evgeny Plushenko, Alexey Yagudin, Evgenya Medvedeva, and Alina Zagitova. Actually, there`re a lot of wonderful sportsmen.
Most of all I enjoy pair figure skating (not ice dancing, but sport skating). The difference between ice dancing and sport skating is ice dancers perform some dancing tracks and dance lifts, but sport skaters perform some difficult elements like jumps, pair lifts, and other moves. Also, dancers (women) wear long skirts while pair figure skaters wear short skirts.
