My achievements and discoveries in April
Actually, this month has passed very fast for me. I`ve just blinked, and May has come. We had a lot of work anyway, so I want to share with you my achievements and discoveries.
Firstly, we`ve finally finished reading “The Phantom Tollbooth”. I love this book for the language and interesting characters. It gives us some simple but very important lessons. Secondly, we`ve watched two wonderful movies “Dead Poets` Society” and “The Emperors` Club”. I should confess that discussing movies is my favorite assignment. When you talk about it with other people, you start to look at things from different angles and find something new for yourself. It`s a valuable experience.
Also, Tenses became more clear for me. I still make some mistakes, but it`s definitely becoming better. I can easily distinguish the difference between few, a few, little, and a little now. We`ve covered a lot of vocabulary this month. So, now we can easily talk about appearance, absent sounds, colors, and some more things.
I`m also very proud of our Phonetic Contest. It was the first time our group arranged the event. Although we had some problems, it was really cool anyway. One more thing — I took part in April Conference in Latin. I haven`t won anything, but I value the experience that I got from this event.
What about my plans for the next month? Frankly speaking, I`d like to relax for a while during the weekends, because I feel a little burnout. (just for a couple of days) I want to watch a TV show or maybe some movies and read something in English. So, right after this, with renewed energy, I should write more dictations and do more retelling exercises. And, of course, prepare for the midterms.
That`s all. Thank you for your attention.
