Movie Soundtracks
Soundtracks enhance a movie by adding depth and emotion to a certain scene. They influence a viewer`s perception by setting the tone and the mood of a film. There are soundtracks that are stuck in our heads for a long time, if not forever. Here, I want to share some of my most cherished movie songs.
“Rosyln” Bon Iver & St. Vincent
“Rosyln” is a melancholic ballad by the indie folk band Bon Iver and rock pioneer St. Vincent. The collaboration itself was used in the second movie of the Twilight trilogy, Twilight: New Moon.
The haunting melody, the delicate guitar riff that sets a melancholic tone, and the mesmerizing vocal make this song a breathtaking work of art. The fusion of piano, acoustic guitar, and subtle electronic elements create a dreamy atmosphere of the song. It is certainly one of the most romantic and charming soundtracks I have ever heard.

“Let It Go” is a song from the Disney animation Frozen about the queen Elsa, her winter superpowers, and her struggles to find her place in the world. It seems as if this soundtrack had captured hearts of people of all ages. Its beauty lies in a deep message of self-acceptance, as well as in a stunning vocal of Indina Menzel and a captivating melody. Every time I listen to this soundtrack I get a portion of motivation and a surge of energy.
“Stranger Things Theme “L’orchestra Cinematique”
The theme soundtrack for the Netflix hit “Stranger Things” captures an eerie and nostalgic tone of the show. Evoking a sense of mystery and intrigue, a melancholic tone of the cello, synthesizer, and acoustic guitar makes this soundtrack especially remarkable. It is impossible to ignore this masterpiece, and there is a chance it will even become classic one day.
“My Heart Will Go On” Céline Dion
This iconic song played in the James Cameron`s outstanding movie “Titanic” is one of my favorite. No matter how many times I have heard it, it still draws my attention and makes my heart beat in a different way. It reveals the message that true love can overcome any obstacles. An adorable voice of Céline Dion and an elegant melody convey the feeling of hope and courage in the face of tragedy. The beauty of this soundtrack is timeless, and it will keep touching people`s hearts throughout generations.
“Brigada The Main Theme”
Being a fan of Russian “bandit movies”, I couldn’t help but mention this brilliant composition. The soundtrack is a fusion of classical music, rock, jazz, and pop. This variety of music genres helps a viewer to catch different moods of the show. It is especially important for the climax of each episode as it helps to create tension and suspense. It is just a stunning soundtrack that captures the themes of the show such as loyalty, sacrifice, and friendship.
Personally, I love the kind of movies that leaves a lasting impression. Music is one of the things that makes me rewatch some episodes of a movie and remember it for a long time.
